The professional quality Mbiras include vibration openings on the sides for variations of sound. Our professional 12 key tunable mbiras are made with a gourd back and mahogany front. They measure approx. 11" tall x 7" wide and come with an instruction sheet from the maker. Since these kalimbas are hand made with grown gourds in Ghana, sizes and shapes are approximate.
