Description:
Talking Drums are widely used in Ghana, especially by the Ashanti's. They send messages of happiness, sorrow, war etc., to other tribes through the beating of the drum. They are called "Talking Drums" because they can produce a wide range of pitches by squeezing the drum underyour arm as you strike the head. They are carved from a single piece of wood and have goat skin heads. We have 3 sizes available. Small, 10"x6" $36.00, Medium, 15"x7" $59.00, Large, 19"x8" $89.00.
The 10" and 15" drums have a higher range of tones, while the 19" drum has tones that are of a deeper range. All sizes are approximate.
Mallet is included with each drum.
